‘Survival’ centres on the success stories that are improving health in communities across the developing world. If scaled up, these interventions have the potential to save vast numbers of lives and improve the quality of life for millions. New vaccines, new drugs, increased funding, coordination and greater political will are needed to provide a real opportunity to overcome these devastating diseases and health problems and help give communities a real chance.

The diseases and health issues featured in ‘Survival’ collectively account for 1 in 4 deaths each year with a footprint that spans across every single country in the world. Predominantly they affect people in developing countries, taking their greatest toll on the poor. But all of these diseases and health issues are treatable and preventable, often with relatively low-cost solutions.
